Originally from Wisconsin, Mark Hendrickson was raised both there and in Kentucky. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky.
In the early 1990's, Hendrickson relocated to Arizona, opening a studio in Scottsdale. He has clients worldwide, and his images have appeared in a wide variety of publications, many national and international, including many of the top fashion magazines.
Hendrickson expanded his creativity in his photographic series titled, Famous Flames - The Fire Series. In this collection, Hendrickson explores the majestic qualities of fire, with images of a match, as it's lit. These images were showcased in Hendrickson’s show at the metro Phoenix art museum - The West Valley Art Museum. These images are also in a number of private collections through out the United States.
Mark Hendrickson spent a number of years working with artist Fritz Scholder. They worked together, producing several of Scholder's limited edition artist books. It was here Hendrickson learned about creating limited edition fine art books. Hendrickson first produced his own fine art book, in the fall of 2003. Designing and printing the limited edition (50) book, titled A Match Book, it was a great success. The book contains 13 images, from the “The Fire Series”, it is printed on acid free, Somerset watercolor paper, with hand-made interleaving paper.

Hendrickson’s latest work is producing series of fine art images, he has the series titled Famous Flames, the Window Series, and Abstracts. He is currently working on new additions to his fine art photographic works, at his Scottsdale, Arizona studio.
